I am Theo Michael, a professional photographer based in Paris.

My work focuses on the representation of built environments. My approach is grounded in a precise understanding of light, space, and composition, allowing me to create clear, structured images tailored to their intended purpose.

My photography supports projects in architecture, real estate, hospitality, and short-term rentals, with a focus on communication, presentation, and market positioning.

Alongside my professional practice, I pursue a personal artistic approach exploring the relationship between architecture, light, and human presence. This ongoing research has gradually gained recognition through several international competitions and exhibitions dedicated to contemporary photography in Paris and the United States.

My photographic approach

My approach is based on an architectural reading of space. I consider each location as a visual structure to be organized rather than a subject to be documented.

I work around three fundamental principles:

  • Composition as a hierarchy of visual reading

  • Lines and volumes as the language of space

  • Light as a tool for visual construction

This approach makes it possible to produce coherent, usable images that meet the requirements of the architecture, real estate, and hospitality sectors.

  • Hotels and hospitality establishments

  • Short-term rental operators (Airbnb, property management companies)

Each assignment serves a specific purpose: improving the perception of a space, supporting a commercial strategy, or strengthening a visual identity.

My artistic approach to photography

Alongside my professional photography practice in Paris, I develop a personal artistic approach focused on the relationship between architecture, light, and human presence.

This research explores how spaces shape perception, guide the movement of the gaze, and influence visual experience.

In my artistic series:

  • Structure guides the reading of the image

  • Light becomes a narrative language

  • Empty space contributes to composition

  • Human presence introduces scale and tension

This practice directly informs and enriches my work in architectural and real estate photography.
