New Coastal Road
This series was created in 2025 along the New Coastal Road in Saint-Denis, Réunion Island. It explores the encounter between a monumental infrastructure and a natural environment that is both powerful and fragile.
Designed to replace an older route exposed to landslide risks and extreme weather conditions, this over 5-kilometer viaduct stands as a technical achievement. Through these images, the architecture emerges within an almost mineral landscape, where ocean, sky, and rock interact with the sharp lines of the structure.
The choice of black and white enhances contrasts and highlights the geometry of the construction, emphasizing the tension between raw nature and human intervention.
